Alcatel has officially unveiled its latest phablet, the One Touch Hero. The device was listed on company's website a few days back. However, later Alcatel pulled down the listing page.
The Alcatel One Touch Hero features a 6-inch IPS full-HD display with 1080x1920 pixels resolution and boasts of a pixel density of 367ppi. It is powered by a 1.5GHz quad-core processor coupled with 2GB of RAM.
The Alcatel One Touch Hero runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with an LED Flash and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. There is 16GB of internal storage which can be expanded further, thanks to a microSD card slot. It comes with a 3400mAh battery. It is a dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) phone that comes with stylus support.
The Alcatel One Touch Hero comes with an E Ink cover and also includes a MagicFlip cover with an embedded LED that comes bundled with the handset. It supports wireless charging as well.
Along with large 6-inch phablet, the company has also announced an unnamed companion device that can connect to the One Touch Hero via Bluetooth. The Bluetooth-enabled accessory can receive SMS, check calendar entries, answer calls, sync phonebook contacts.
The Alcatel One Touch Hero will be first rolled out in China and Russia in October and will be released in other countries later. However, the company has not revealed the pricing of the device yet.
