It has been a while since Sony released a smartphone that received as much attention as the Xperia i1 or Honami. The leaks related to the device just don't stop coming in.
This time fresh alleged camera sample shots apparently taken with the Sony Xperia i1 or Honami have been leaked online, hinting that the device will pack a 20-megapixel shooter, as previously rumoured.
Techkiddy, a technology blog has posted some sample camera images that it claims to have been taken with the Sony Xperia Honami. The details of the alleged image reveal a resolution of 3936x5248 pixels hinting that the device will sport a 20-megapixel camera. It also reveals that the camera's aperture records at f/2.0. Further, the image shows the device's model number as C6902 with the confirmation that it has been manufactured by Sony. As per earlier rumours, the model number of the handset was said to be C6906.
The Sony Xperia Honami is rumoured to sport a 5.0-inch full-HD display. It's likely to be powered by a 2.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor with 2GB of RAM. The device is said to feature a 20-megapixel Exmor RS camera that is expected to sport a Sony G-lens and BIONZ image processor. The phone is also expected to feature a 2.0-megapixel front facing camera. It's may include a 16GB internal storage and a 3000mAh battery. The device is said to run Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. The device is also said to come with IP57 certification which means it would be dust-and water-resistant.
Earlier, an alleged Sony teaser was leaked which claimed to be for the company's upcoming flagship smartphone, the Sony Xperia i1 Honami and pointed to an IFA launch. The teaser image featured a purple device across a black background. The leaked images revealed that the device's edges look more rounded much like the Xperia Z Ultra, than straight, as seen in earlier leaked images that looked close to the company's flagship smartphone, the Xperia Z.
