Samsung Galaxy NX - An Android powered mirrorless camera

Samsung has announced the release of its Galaxy NX Mirrorless Camera ,an interchangeable-lens camera with 3G/4G LTE technology. A mirrorless compact system camera (CSC) with a bridge camera design, it runs on the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system and provides Samsung’s impressive connectivity capabilities and the full array of Android system apps.
The idea is to have the capability to take professional-quality images and the Bluetooth 4.0 (LE) and Wi-Fi connectivity to share them directly from anywhere.


This camera comes with
  • 20.3-megapixel APS-C sensor. It packs in Samsung's DRIMeIV Image processor for imaging and 1.6GHz Pega-Q quad-core for the system processing.
  • The camera has 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, which can be expanded by up another 64GB via microSD card. It comes with a 4,360mAh battery.
  • Samsung Galaxy NX also offers 4.8-inch HD LCD display to view images before clicking.
  • It comes with an Advanced Hybrid Auto Focus (AF) System with 1/6000 sec shutter speed and 8.6fps shooting. Samsung Galaxy NX camera can be coupled with 13 lenses including the recently announced 10mm F3.5 Fisheye lens.
  • Users can also shoot users pictures and movies in 3D with the help of Samsung's 45mm 2D/3D lens.
  • This camera offers 30 Smart Modes, which can be employed when selecting imaging settings.
  • So far there is no word on the pricing of this camera, but the company has announced it will start retailing Galaxy NX camera in UK this summer.
